ABOUT TEAM COUTOURIER MINISTRIES

In January 2015, the Lord called Daryl and Shanel Coutourier to be intentional about coaching Christians in the areas of discipleship and biblical marriage. They realized that their passion for walking alongside other couples started before their wedding day. In a sex-saturated culture, they vowed to abstain and follow God’s plan during their friendship and courtship. Even then, they had a heart for other couples to do the same. On August 9, 2008, Daryl and Shanel entered into the marriage covenant and officially became Team Coutourier or Team C for short. The team philosophy reminds them that they are no longer two, but one flesh. In Matthew 19, Jesus’ responds when He was questioned by religious leaders about divorce:

“Haven’t you read,” He replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.

In the January 12th, 2009 issue of the Jet magazine, their wedding nuptials were featured in the “Love & Happiness” section:

The Express, the publication of the Washington Post, featured the couple again in the April 15th, 2014 edition (after their original engagement announcement in August 2008) as a flashback to the popular B.I.O. (By Invitation Only) column:

With the help of God’s word, the Holy Spirit, godly mentoring and an encouraging community, Daryl and Shanel have been able to navigate the trials and triumphs of marriage and have a desire to encourage other couples to stay the course. Over the years, they have shared the blessings and burdens of living life with other couples in various stages of their relationships. They believe that investing in marriages is an organic tool to strengthen the body of Christ. A godly marriage can impact generations. Team C Ministries was created to encourage and admonish Christians to stay on God’s course for their life.
